We believe in a restorative approach to prisoners, former prisoners and all who are affected by crime. *
Our Ethos
Our work is based on the principles of restorative justice. Restorative justice is an approach that focuses on repairing harm rather than simply punishing people. It brings together (where appropriate) those affected by wrongdoing to talk about what happened, understand the impact, take responsibility, and work towards repairing harm.
Core Values
Release is guided by restorative justice and a belief in accountability, dignity, and the importance of social capital. We value respectful, relationship-based support and believe lasting change is built through trust, consistency, and strong community connections. Our work is grounded in the belief that positive reintegration for people with convictions is essential to safer communities and a more just society.
