Mission Statement

Release empowers children with disabilities, their caregivers and society with the skills and tools they need to enable them to meet their potential living as valuable, integrated members of their communities.

VISION STATEMENT

Release aims to transition from a service provider of speech and language therapy to a training body, enabling registered speech and language therapists to participate in the Release methodology creating widespread social change.

CORE VALUES

CAREGIVERS

Release encourages parents of children with disabilities to realise they have the potential, talent, motivation and skills to help their child learn to communicate and connect with society.

PARENTS

Release enables parents to contribute to a robust and interconnected support network of other Release families--helping them realise, they are not alone.

CHILDREN

Release and their caregivers help children communicate through play based and / or peer-to-peer group therapy to become as independent, productive and self sufficient as possible enabling integration within society.

EDUCATORS

Release upskills educators, either through working with a Release SLT directly or with Release families, to modify and adapt classroom curriculum and activities within their typical setting often allowing for a more positive educational environment, for the educator, child and the child's peers.

SOCIETY

Release believes people with disabilities who learn to communicate become more active members of society when participating in mainstream services, community and employment. This integrated society is stronger for their unique talents and contributions.

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPISTS

Release speech and language therapists are appreciated and respected by families, children and society for their expertise in empowering families to live to the best of their abilities.
